More Than Sunday Mornings
Sharing the good food and good news with the people of Harford County
Smith's Chapel UMC is a community of people dedicated to being formed in the likeness of Jesus Christ and inviting others to hear the good news of the gospel. We welcome people of all backgrounds and ages to join us in worshiping and serving our community. We meet every Sunday to sing gospel and praise songs, lift each other up in prayer, and hear an inspiring sermon.
As we are called to praise, so we are also called to service. Smith's Chapel's food pantry ministry serves about 75 people every week. We're open on Wednesdays from 11-2 and welcome all in need. In addition to distributing food for TEFAP and the Maryland Food Bank, we gather local donations from business and food ministry partners to provide our community with high quality fresh food throughout the year.
We are a member church of the Mission Central Parish a United Methodist community in Harford and Baltimore counties. As United Methodists, we hold to the beliefs and practices of the Methodist tradition and covenant to serve God with our prayer, praise, gifts, offering, service, and witness.
